Plant Operator

This is an experienced Operator position requiring the employee to perform a full range of operator assignments.  The Operator must use his or her independent judgment to make decisions and resolve issues.  The Operator must be able to apply procedures that may be necessary to protect the plant and associated equipment.  The Operator must be fully familiar with all aspects of the heat recovery and water distributions systems.  The Operator must be able to assess the plant and system needs and be able to advise the Dispatcher of any and all conditions regarding Plant availability.  The Operator must be able to operate the Plant in all modes including Black Start and Black System operations.  The Operator must be familiar with all permit requirements and be able to adjust the Plant to meet the requirements of the Air Pollution or any other pertinent permit or requirement.

PSREC Cogeneration Plant is located in Susanville, CA.

This is a Union position; IBEW Local 1245. Starting pay is currently $62.43/hr.
