High-Speed Internet Services via Fiber Optics Available Soon in parts of Quincy

August 5, 2019, Quincy, CA – Plumas-Sierra Telecommunications is pleased to announce that on August 5, work began to replace the existing coax system in parts of Quincy with fiber optics. The coax system is being replaced with fiber optics due to the poor condition of the system that PST acquired from New Day Broadband. Customer installations are planned to begin in September with service offering speeds up to 1 gigabyte per second download. There will be multiple packages available, with the least cost package starting at $65 per month.

One area just being completed is the Bellamy Track area where PST is about to schedule installations. PST is also wrecking out the New Day system south of Main Street, with the project bounded by Lindan St. to the east and the end of Jackson St. to the west. Construction of the PST Fiber Optic Network will continue in the Chandler Road area after construction in the southern part of Quincy is complete. Fiber optic service is already available for the businesses between Main and Lawrence Streets.
