What is WiFi 6E?
Perhaps the question should be what isn’t Wi-Fi 6?
WiFi 6E is an all new 6GHz band of WiFi signal on top of the previous 2.4GHz band 5Ghz dual band. This translates into more open airwaves—a lot more—that routers can use to broadcast WiFi signals. This new band quadruples the total space available to traditional WiFi, enabling a dedicated experience for unparalleled gaming, working and learning from home, 8K content streaming and nearly unlimited IoT smart home scenarios. WiFi 6E solves the problem of reliability issues caused by congestion and interference. The more devices there are competing for the same WiFi connection, the more performance suffers. WiFi 6E, however, offers a new WiFi channel of airwaves for your devices to connect to.
